Hello and welcome to our little piece of online real estate. It may not represent quite the same massive, emotional investment as a person’s first home or a family cottage in the country, but we’re very happy to take possession of this spot in the blogosphere.
Who is Canadian Mortgage Professionals Inc, exactly?
As you can see on our website, Canadian Mortgage Professionals Inc. is a mortgage brokerage firm. We have extensive contacts among lenders across the country, and strive to serve each client in finding the mortgage that is right for them. But that sounds like every other mortgage broker, right?
What we try to do differently is to walk clients through the complexities of mortgage documents, financial contracts and budgetary concerns.
We realize that not everyone has a degree in economics or a certificate in accounting! Without someone you can trust, it can be just plain overwhelming — there’s so much to learn, that’s why we want to provide you with as much (or as little) information as you’re comfortable with, to help you navigate this complex process of buying property.
But why are we blogging?
A fair question, one among many. By entering the social mediaverse, we hope to speak with homebuyers & homeowners on their own turf. Facebook, Twitter, this blog… these are places where you can ask questions, interact, and get to know us on your own terms.
Over the years, we’ve found that there are thousands of potential home buyers who feel disconnected from the process. I’ll never be able to buy a house, they say. I’m too young or old anyway, say others.
And let’s be honest – for some people, these statements ring true. But for a majority of us in Canada, buying a home isn’t some improbable dream that might never come true. For most of us, the biggest things we need aren’t lottery wins and unexpected inheritances. They’re knowledge. Networking. Planning.
We hope that here, you’ll find plain language explanations of financial terms. You’ll find simple advice for saving for that down payment.
